Summer morning bath.

Ethan has come to love his baths. We don’t take baths every day, but when we do it’s a mellow, happy time for him. He sits in his little tub and I drip warm water over him. I soap up his little fingers and toes where the “lint” gets trapped – he especially loves that. He even likes getting his face washed, which surprises me (I remember hating that when I was little). I guess he just really likes being clean. And I do love a clean baby.

Soaped and rinsed and clean, he emerges from his little tub wrapped up in his soft green froggy or blue doggy towel and I massage Burt’s Bees Buttermilk baby lotion all over his little body and head, as he dries under the breeze of the fan.

What a wonderful life to be a baby.
